I read a great article this morning on how to introduce your children to a heavenly Father who is not sitting with His arms folded, waiting to catch them doing something wrong. He is a loving Father, who delights in his children and wants to protect and comfort them.
Here are some great verses that I came upon:
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
"The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all: He has compassion on all He has made." (Ps. 145: 8-9)
"Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful." (Luke 6:36)
"God is love." (1 John 4:8)
"We can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." (2 Cor. 1:4)
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endured forever." (Ps. 107:1)
It's so cool to think that God knew David when he was in the womb, and all of us for that matter and He has a plan for David's life.
Thank you Jesus!
